0 0
Kelsey Heyd
From: Kelsey Heyd
Sent: Friday, October 9,2020 4:30 PM
To: permits@nwsigns.com
Subject: S2010-003 - 3015 9th St- Planning Comments
Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for submitting a sign permit(S2010-003)for 3015 9th St. I am reviewing the permit for the Planning division.
Below, please find the required Planning corrections for your proposal. If you have any questions regarding these
corrections, please let me know and I'm happy to be of assistance.
Planning Corrections
1. Site plan.A site plan identifying the property lines and noting the setbacks of the proposed freestanding sign to
the property lines is required. The sign must be setback from the property line(s)at least 1'for every 1'of
height. In reviewing the provided site plan with our mapping system, it appears the proposed location of the
sign may be located in the public right-of-way;the sign must be located entirely on private property meeting the
above-noted setbacks. For reference, you can find prior permit history, including plans, via the City's Digital
Records Center. You can also view our interactive map at www.everettwa.gov/mapeverett.
2. Landscaping. The landscaping/protective island around the sign must meet the provisions of EMC 19.36.050.A.3.
Plenty of ground cover is located in this area in the form of sod but seasonal shrubs should be provided as well
and identified on the revised site plan.
Please revise and submit two copies per the interim permit intake/resubmittal policy, available via the"website&online
resources" link in my signature. If you have any Planning related questions, please contact me directly via email. For
general permit questions, please contact Permit Services at everetteps@everettwa.gov or 425.257.8810.
Note:these requirements are only in relation to the land use code and do not account for all possible requirements from
other departments.Additional comments or corrections may be required upon review of the requested information.
Thanks,
Kelsey Heyd
INAssociate Planner I Community, Planning& Economic Development
425.257.8731 13200 Cedar Street 2nd Fl., Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
Please reference our website&online resources for updates to our service. We are currently experiencing a
higher volume of calls and emails and have limited staff available to respond.Your patience is appreciated as we
respond in the order received.
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
1
