This was exposed, and in some cases caused when <br /> the ceiling and walls were opened during work performed by a plumbing <br /> contractor. <br /> 1. Blocking <br /> There are gaps in portions of the blocking between TJI's where they <br /> cross over the top plates of the walls separating the apartments. See <br /> attached drawing A.1. <br /> The proposed plan to repair this issue is to install 'h inch GWB over <br /> the current OSB blocking with drywall screws in areas where large <br /> portions are missing. Followed by sealing all gaps with fire barrier <br /> sealant caulk. Any larger gaps or areas with multiple obstructions will <br /> be filled with fireblock insulating foam sealant. See attached drawing <br /> A.2. <br />
