a 1 ♦ ♦ - ORDINANCE NO . 3823 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF EVERETT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST . WHEREAS, pursuant to petition, the Commissioners of Snohomish County,, Washington, did hold a. special election on the 2nd day of May, 1961 on the proposition of the annexation of certain property to the City of Everett, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have entered a finding concerning the canvassing and return of vote on said ' issue and filed a certified copy of such findings with the City Clerk of the City of Everett together with a certified abstract of the vote showing the whole number who voted at the election, the number of votes cast for annexation and the number cast against annexation, and PC WHEREAS, said certified abstract shows 254 votes for annexation and 196 votes against annexation, and WHEREAS, the City Commissioners of the city of Everett desire to annex said territory to the City of Everett, and declaring an emergency to exist . NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: SECTION 1: That the property hereinafter described be, and the same is hereby annexed on the day of May 1951 to the City of Everett, a municipal corporation: Beginning at the intersection of the south line of LI3rd Street with the west line of Section 32, Town- ship 29 North, Range E.W.M. , thence southerly along the west line of said Section 32, to an intersection with the east line of Alta Vista Addition and west marginal line of Northwest Traction Company's right of way (P .U.D. r/w) , thence southeasterly along the west line of said Northwest Traction Co. ' s r/w (P .U.D. r/w) to the point of intersection of the westerly 'boundary of Northwest Traction Co 's r/w (P .U.D.T/tier) with the north boundary of 54th Street as platted in the Plat of Laurel Heights; thence westerly along the said northerly boundary of said 5LIth Street to a point of intersection with the east line of Section 31, Township 29 North, Range E.W.H. ; thence southerly along the east line of said Section 31 to the southeast corner of said Section 31; thence westerly along the south line of said Section 31 to an intersection with the west line of Block 1, Laurel Heights, produced northerly in its present platted direction, which point is also the east marginal line of Colby Avenue as now established, produced northerly; thence southerly along the said west line of Block 1, Laurel Heights produced northerly and the east marginal line of Colby Avenue, to a point of intersection with the northwest corner of Block 2, Plat of Lang' s First Addition which point it also on the south line of 6Oth Street' (Fisher Street as now established, thence easterly along the south line of said oOth Street (Fisher Street) and the north line of Blocks 1 and 2 of Lang' s First Addition to the northeast corner of said Block 1, Lang ' s First Addition, thence
