. . <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3819 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Chapter 8.24, City Code of the City of <br /> Everett, being a part of Ordinance No. �, by adding thereto a new section <br /> to be known as Chapter 8.24.121, governing the operation of motor vehicles <br /> in the City of Everett; defining divided highways or streets; and prohibiting <br /> the operation of motor vehicles across divided highways. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Chap 8.24, City Code of the City of Everett, <br /> being a part of Ordinance No. , is hereby amended by adding thereto a <br /> new section to be known as Chapter 8.24.121 as follows: <br /> "Whenever any highway, street or roadway in the <br /> city of Everett has been divided into two roadways for <br /> travel in opposite directions by leaving an intervening <br /> space or by a physical barrier or clearly indicated <br /> dividing section, or by two parallel barrier strips four <br /> inches or more apart painted or otherwise marked in the <br /> center or near the center of the roadway so installed as <br /> to control vehicular traffic, every vehicle shall be <br /> driven only upon the right hand roadway and no vehicle <br /> shall be driven over, across or within any such dividing <br /> space, barrier or section, or barrier stripes, except <br /> through an opening in such physical barrier or dividing <br /> section or space or barrier stripes or at a cross-over or <br /> intersection established by the Chief of Police of the City <br /> of Everett or by the City Council of the City of Everett <br /> or other authorized public authority.
