ORDINANCE NO. 3657 AN ORDINANCE amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3328 of the City of Everett entitled: An Ordinance relating to the municipal water supply system of the City of Everett; providing rules and regulations for the control of said system; regula- ting the use of water therefrom; providing for the sale of same; fixing the price thereof, and providing a method of collecting rates therefor; providing penalties for violations, and repealing Ordinance No. 2582 and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 : That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3328 is hereby amended to read as follows : Section 3: The Superintendent of the Water Depart- ment shall be a licensed Hydraulic Engineer or a licensed Civil Engineer of the State of Washington and shall be experienced in the management and operation of water and hydraulic systems and shall have in his charge and under his control subject to the Com- missioner of Public Works, the management, maintenance, and operation of the Water Department of the City of Everett including the Sultan River Water Supply System and all auxiliary pumping apparatus, reservoirs, pipes and of all persons employed thereon, and of all con- struction work undertaken by the City in connection with said water system. The official title of said Superintendent shall be Superintendent of Everett Water Department. He shall be appointed by the Commissioner of Public Works and his appointment shall be confirmed by the City Council of Everett. He shall be the administrative head of the Water Department with authority to employ and discharge employees of said department by and with the advice and consent of the Commissioner of Public Works of said City.
