Remove <br />sheet rock where necessary and add 2x4 <br />(minimum) backing to secure top plates. <br />Verify length of screws being used to secure <br />double top plates to backing. Verify that all <br />new top plates are securely fastened to <br />framing above. Remove sheet rock where <br />necessary to verify this. <br />2. New wall framing at new shower is not <br />properly secured to outside wall. <br />3. Wall cavity behind shower: Seal floor <br />and insulate outside wall. <br />4. Air seal all drilled top and bottom plates <br />around electrical wires and plumbing. <br />This is a partial framing inspection.
