a. <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3786 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for clothing allowance for <br /> uniform personnel in the Fire and Police Departments and non • <br /> - <br /> uniform personnel in the Police Department. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> SECTION 1 : That every member of the Police Department <br /> and Fire Department, at the time they shall first take employment, <br /> shall at their own expense secure a standard uniform required by <br /> the respective Departments; that thereafter the Chief of the Fire <br /> Department and the Chief of the Police Department shall, out of <br /> the clothing allowance budgeted for the respective year, make <br /> replacements of uniforms damaged while said employees are engaged <br /> in line of duty. <br /> SECTION 2: That the Chief of the Fire Department and <br /> the Chief of the Police Department are further authorized to make <br /> necessary replacements out of the clothing allowance budgeted for <br /> the respective Departments for all clothes required to be replaced <br /> because of obsolescence or deterioration. <br /> SECTION 3: That the Chief of the Police Department is <br /> hereby authorized to pay for the replacement of all clothing of <br /> non-uniform personnel damaged while in the performance of their <br /> duties. <br /> SECTION 4: That the non-uniform personnel of the F-ire <br /> Department are hereby allowed, in addition to replacement of <br /> clothing damaged in line of duty, the sum of S40.00 per year as <br /> a clothing allowance, which shall be a part of their contract of <br /> employment in addition to their regular salary. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Attest: <br /> / <br /> CITY CLERK <br /> Passed: Oct. 11, 1960 <br /> Published: Oct. 12, 1960 <br />
