Ted de Budden
From: Ted de Budden
Sent: Thursday, June 25, 2020 11:33 AM
To: Donald Cunningham; Tawnya Herman
Cc: Eileen Hinkley; Terri Jorgenson; Tony Lee; Anne Weech
Subject: RE: Final
Don,
I have reviewed the records for the property located at 3714 Colby Ave. as requested.
The original address was 3714 Colby Ave.
Mr. Messerly converted the structure to three separate townhomes with the new addresses of 3710- 3712-and 3714
Colby Ave.
All three of the townhouses have received final inspection approvals.
We can issue Certificates of occupancies for the three separate townhouses at the written request of the owners, Terri
Jorgenson is the contact person for this.
We have no objection to the title cloud being removed, abatement of violations on the property has been completed.
Regards
Ted de Budden
Chief Inspector I Permit Services
425.257-7271 1 3200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett, WA 98201
Hours: Monday —Friday 7:30am-12:OOpm and 1:OOpm-4:OOpm everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
Note: Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure
pursuant to the Public Records Act.
-----Original Message -----
From: Donald Cunningham <DCunningham@everettwa.gov>
Sent: Wednesday, June 24, 2020 8:18 AM
To: Tawnya Herman <THerman@everettwa.gov>; Ted de Budden <TBudden@everettwa.gov>
Cc: Eileen Hinkley <EHinkley@everettwa.gov>
Subject: RE: Final
The Hearing Examiner Order is related to our case (Case# 11-0076) - issued in 2011 and associated with property address
3714 Colby.
Ted's comments from May 1, 2020: Hi Don, The permits that Mr. Messerly has require final inspection approval prior to
approved occupancy of the structure.
I recommend the title cloud remain in effect until this occurs.
The current occupancy status of the structure should be "vacant" until approved for occupancy by our inspectors.
THE ORDER - required the property be brought into compliance with the Everett Municipal Code through the permit
process. It does not specifically require a cert of occupancy- but if his building requires a COO to be lawful - then lifting
the Cloud will have to wait for that.
