Remove ceiling or other method to expose ALL of the mechanical work. 2) M1605.1.3.1 IRC - A luminaire controlled by a switch and a receptacle is required to be installed at or near the appliance in the attic. 3) R303.5.2.1 All exhaust ducts in unconditioned spaces shall be insulated to a minimum of R-4 This includes Dryer and bath exhaust. 4) M1507.4 IRC - Exhaust is required in kitchens. Either a 100 cfin fan approved for kitchens or hood exhaust that terminates outside. 5) Heating ducts in the attic must be insulated to R-8.
