RESOLUTION NO. <br />EVERETT <br />WASH I NGTON <br />A RESOLUTION establishing Human Needs Priorities for 2022 Grant Funding and <br />Re -Allocations of CDBG-CV Funds <br />WHEREAS, <br />a. The City Council has annually dedicated $3 per capita for Human Needs Grant funding; <br />and <br />b. The City Council has annually dedicated an additional $1 per capita to support Safe <br />Streets programs to help address homelessness in the Community. <br />c. The mission of the Housing and Community Development Citizen Advisory Committee is <br />to review the human needs in the City of Everett, to prioritize those needs, and <br />recommend allocating funds to most benefit those needs; and <br />d. Community needs were identified by the public in several community engagement <br />activities related to the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan Update and human needs; and <br />e. The Housing and Community Development Citizen Advisory Committee met on August <br />8, 2021 to review and recommend priorities for 2022; and <br />f. During the 2022 Priority Need Public Comment period, public input raised additional <br />priorities related to job training; and <br />g. The Housing and Community Development Citizen Advisory Committee met on <br />September 21, 2021 to revise and add priorities for 2022; and <br />h. The Housing and Community Development Citizen Advisory Committee recommends <br />priorities based on identified needs and/or services supporting: <br />a. HOUSING <br />b. SERVICES <br />• Legal aid for housing mediation <br />• Support Services <br />• Mental health services <br />
