The attached report
presents our findings and recommendations for the geotechnical aspects of project design and construction.
Soil conditions interpreted from CPTs at the site consist of 3 feet to 8 feet of fill overlying native alluvial soils.
The alluvial soils consist of sands underlain by a 4- to 11-foot thick layer of soft, compressible silt and clay that
is in turn underlain by medium dense to dense sands. Groundwater is interpreted from ,2 of the CPTs to be at
depths of 4.8 feet and 10.7 feet.
In our opinion, soil and groundwater conditions at the site will be suitable for support of the development as
planned provided recommendations contained herein are incorporated into project design and construction
specifications. Site preparation to mitigate potential building settlements due to consolidation of the soft silt/clay
consists of ground improvement by surcharging the building pad area.
We trust the information provided in the attached report is sufficient for your current needs. If you have any
questions or need additional information, please call.
Sincerely yours,
TERRA ASSOCIATES, INC.
Kevin P.
