Development on Urban Corridors Everett Housing Action Plan 20 <br /> <br />Another feature of Swift transit corridors is that they can be conceived of as “linear communities” that <br />provide efficient access to a broad spectrum of shops, services, employment opportunities, schools <br />and recreational amenities. Instead of being configured in a concentric pattern as most traditional <br />communities, a linear community employs transit service to link residents to goods, services, and <br />friends. <br /> <br />Figure 5.
