October 6, 2021 <br /> necessary documents to accept the Washington State Department of Commerce <br /> Grant to assist with the implementation of the Housing Action Plan in the <br /> amount of$100,000. <br /> Council Member Tuohy asked that when the incentive recommendations for <br /> developers are returned, the comparable cities recommendations be provided to <br /> Council also. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member Bader <br /> who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> RESOLUTION — RETHING HOUSING ACTION PLAN <br /> Yorik Stevens-Wajda and Rebecca McCrary, Planning, provided an update on the <br /> implementation of the proposed Rethink Housing Action Plan. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding available housing types, design guidelines, strategies <br /> for homeownership, preservation of historic structures and buildings, <br /> implementation of high density area development, and development incentives. <br /> Council Member Vogeli suggested the resolution be amended to add a rental <br /> property registry. Nick Harper, Administration, stated that because this is a policy <br /> document and nothing is being adopted, an amendment is not necessary. He will, <br /> however, work with staff to possibly bring forward a briefing at a future date on <br /> how to incorporate Council Member Vogeli's recommendation.. <br /> President Stonecipher asked if it would be possible to develop metrics to quantify <br /> the value of development incentives. <br /> President Stonecipher invited public comment. <br /> Dylan Sluder, Bellevue, spoke about promoting homeownership. <br /> 6 <br />
