The TZM reserves the flexibility to move dates and add dates to adapt to <br />unexpected challenges throughout the program year. <br />Region 10 will conduct the following HVE patrols during the 2021-2022 fiscal year: <br /> <br />Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 <br />10/30 DUI Patrol <br />(Halloween) <br /> <br /> <br />Week of <br />Thanksgiving – 1 <br />patrol <br /> <br />12/10 – Night of <br />1000 Stars <br /> <br />December Statewide <br />HVE patrols <br /> <br />1 HVE DUI patrol in <br />February near <br />Valentine’s day <br /> <br />1 HVE DUI In March <br />near St. Patrick’s Day <br /> <br />1-2 DUI Mentorship’s <br /> <br />1 HVE DUI in May <br />patrol near Cinco de <br />mayo <br /> <br />1 HVE patrol in June <br /> <br /> <br />1-2 DUI Mentorships <br /> <br />1 HVE patrol near <br />Independence Day <br /> <br />2-3 HVE patrols <br />related to area <br />festivals and <br />Statewide DUI patrol <br /> <br />1 September local <br />HVE patrol <br /> <br /> <br />*Additional dates <br />may be added in <br />September. <br />1 mentorship <br />(Assuming time and <br />availability due to <br />summer activity) <br /> <br />1BMentorship <br />The Task Force will continue engaging a DUI mentorship program to train additional officers for DUI related <br />activities. The mentorship program will utilize the current fiscal year policy for such activities, to be <br />approved by the WTSC Program Manager. In general, DUI mentorship will include 16 hours of instructions <br />to an officer wanting to engage further in DUI emphasis activities. Up to 16 hours of overtime or straight <br />time will be approved to both mentor/mentees. The mentor will be a DRE when possible, or a highly <br />effective DUI emphasis patrol officer with a minimum of ARIDE training. Mentor/mentee activities will be <br />pre-approved by the TZM after the mentee submits their letter of interest. <br />2BHVE Patrol Dedications <br />The task Force will conduct at least 1 victim dedication event during the fiscal year. Event and dedication to <br />be determined by the Task Force. <br />3BBriefings <br />Briefings will be conducted for all HVE patrols and will be mandatory for participants. Larger patrols for <br />events such as Night of 1000 Stars will include a comprehensive operations plan. Briefings will occur either
