There is no match for these funds. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The Everett Police Department (EPD,) is requesting to submit a proposal to the <br />Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (CJTC), in response to the CJTC's <br />'HB 1001 RFP.' House Bill 1001 established a law enforcement professional <br />development outreach grant program intended to assist in establishing dynamic and <br />diverse Community Oriented Police force recruitment and retention programs to <br />improve internal and external relations and ensure the effective delivery of services to <br />the public. The project proposal cost is estimated at $60,000.00 for the production and <br />implementation of multi -media development, marketing contract, recruiting travel <br />expenses, recruitment training and applicant testing fees related to this effort. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize city staff to apply for and if awarded authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary <br />documents and agreements with the Washington State Criminal Justice Training <br />Commission regarding the application, acceptance, and utilization of the House Bill 1001 <br />Recruitment Grant in the amount of $60,000. <br />
