6. It is understood that Gordian shall charge participating construction contractors a Contractor Licensing Fee ("CLF") of one percent (1%) of the value of the work ordered for the JOC contractors' access to the Gordian's proprietary construction data and JOC applications. Gordian shall be solely responsible for all administrative duties relating to the invoicing and collections of the CLF from contractors. In the event a Job Order is cancelled after a contractor has been authorized to begin, but prior to the work being started, these cancellations, and a credit for the full amount of Gordian's applicable fees, will be credited to the contractor in the next monthly invoicing process following the cancellation. Gordian acknowledges and agrees the City shall in no manner whatsoever be responsible for any financial compensation issues regarding the assessment and collection of the Contractor License Fee. 7. In consideration for Construction Cost Estimating Services set forth in Exhibit A and when such services are requested by the City, the City shall pay Consultant a fee of $130 per hour. This rate will remain in effect for the life of this agreement period and may be adjusted annually on the contract execution date of each subsequent extension period by CPI, as published by the Consumer Price Index for the Seattle -Tacoma -Bremerton area, for a twelve (12) month period or 3%, whichever is less.
