Attachment C <br />REVISED WORK PLAN <br />FY 2020 Emergency Management Performance Grant COVID-19 Supplemental <br />1 <br />2 <br />1 <br />Emergency Management Organization: <br />Everett Office of Emergency Management <br />The purpose of EMPG-S funds is to assist state, local, and tribal emergency management activities supporting the <br />prevention of, preparation for, and response to the ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health <br />emergency. Funding will be used to support planning and operational readiness for COVID-19 preparedness and <br />response, development of tools and strategies for prevention, preparedness, and response, and ongoing <br />communication and coordination among federal, State, local, tribal, and territorial partners throughout the <br />response. EMPG-S grant funds are intended to support the National Preparedness Goal and fund activities and <br />projects that build and sustain the capabilities necessary to prevent, protect against, mitigate the effects of, <br />respond to, and recover from those threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to the security of the Nation. <br />Program Area #1 Title <br />Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) <br />WORK PLANNED <br />RESULT OF THE WORK <br />Purchase fit testing equipment and accessory supplies <br />to support Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needs <br />of COVID-19 responders. <br />Fit testing equipment will ensure that respiratory PPE is <br />most effective. This equipment will expand the City's <br />ability to fit test more people from City departments <br />and community partners. This equipment will improve <br />PPE effectiveness for the COVID-19 event and other <br />incidents in the future where respiratory health is a <br />concern. By purchasing fit testing equipment, the City <br />can slow the spread of COVID-19 by protecting the <br />health and safety of our City staff and the public they <br />interact with. <br />Purchase PPE for City staff, community partners, and <br />the public. <br />By purchasing PPE (masks, face coverings, gloves, etc.) <br />the City can slow the spread of COVID-19 by reducing <br />the potential for transmission. Providing PPE will help <br />to protect the health and safety of City staff who <br />interact with the public and members of the public, <br />especially those who are most vulnerable. <br />Program Area #2 Title <br />EOC/ECC Staffing <br />WORK PLANNED <br />RESULT OF THE WORK <br />Staff the City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and <br />County Emergency Coordination Center (ECC) to <br />support the COVID-19 response. <br />The EOC and ECC have been stood up to support <br />response activities and plan for future needs related to <br />the COVID-19 pandemic.
