The <br />budget for the replacement of the media in both Trickling Filters is $2,900,000. <br /> <br />Project summary statement: <br />Public Works has a Professional Services Agreement with John R. Harrison for the review <br />and support of the replacement of the treatment media within one of the City’s existing <br />two Trickling Filters. These filters are located at the Water Pollution Control Facility. <br />Amendment No. 1 modifies the agreement to include review and construction <br />assistance services for the replacement of the treatment media within the second <br />Trickling Filter. This construction work is slated to begin in mid-November. Additionally, <br />the amendment includes a contract time extension which is necessary for completion of <br />this work. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment #1 to the Professional Services Agreement in <br />the amount of $51,530.00 with John R. Harrison for the WPCF Trickling Filter Media <br />Replacement project. <br />
