EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Assistance with <br />Restoration of the Trickling Filter Number 1 <br />at the <br />City of Everett Water Pollution Control Facility <br />The following scope of work is proposed by the John R. Harrison (CONSULTANT) in support of The City of <br />Everett (CITY). The CITY will be primarily responsible for designing and specifying items necessary to <br />restore one of the existing trickling filters (TFs) at the CITY's Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCPF) to <br />almost new and useful service. In assisting the CITY, the CONSULTANT will perform the following Tasks. <br />1) Project Management Activities. <br />CONSULTANT will actively participate in relevant project meetings either by conference call or other <br />audio/visual means. CONSULTANT will provide services to CITY as part of a Project Team which may <br />include other Consultants and/or CITY Environmental or Engineering professionals. <br />Deliverables: Advice and Project notes or correspondence. <br />2) Advice and Assistance During Construction. <br />CONSULTANT will assist the CITY in addressing questions during construction. Submittals relevant to <br />the TF will be reviewed Requested changes to the CITY's media specification or changes to TF <br />related equipment will be considered and recommendations will be given by the CONSULTANT. <br />Deliverables: Evaluation of requested changes, submittals and written recommendations to the <br />CITY. <br />3) Observational Advice or Training During the Project. <br />CONSULTANT will assist the CITY in evaluating operation changes that may be required through the <br />duration of the Project. If desired the CONSULTANT will provide training or advise operational <br />changes that may be necessary to have a successful Project. <br />Deliverables: If requested by the CITY, advice and/or training on changes in plant operation. <br />Note: The project scope is focused only on equipment and facility repairs on the trickling filter, filter media, filter media support <br />system and trickling filter associated parts. Excluded from the scope of services are process and operational assistance <br />(including startup or operational guidance. <br />1 September 2021 <br />
