The only remaining'
vegetation is located against the retaining wall, where grading was done to a point near
the retaining wall. Grading was not peformed up to the wall in most locations as the wall
is aging and it appears that erosion has occurred against it.
Critical Areas (wetlands, streams, high erosion risk, steep or difficult to stabilize slopes):
The site is located adjacent to the Shohomish River. The existing retaining wall is aging
and it appears that erosion has occurred up to it.
List of known impairments for 303(d) listed or Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for the
receiving waterbody: The Snohomish River is on the 303(d) list for sediment directly north of
the site, but is listed only as a category 1 waterbody.
Table 1 includes a list of suspected and/or known contaminants associated with the construction
activity.
