Project Information (1.0)
Project/Site Name: Delta Site Restoration
Street/Location: 17 E. Marine Drive
City: Everett State: WA Zip code: 98201
Subdivision: N/A
Receiving waterbody: Snohomish River
Existing Conditions (1.1)
Total acreage (including support activities such as off -site equipment staging yards, material
storage areas, borrow areas).
Total acreage: 22.07
Disturbed acreage: 1.80
Existing structures: Two existing storage structures, one silo (All outside of project limits.)
One wooden retaining wall along Snohomish River (adjacent to project limits). Work limits
extend up to existing retaining wall.
Landscape topography: Generally, the project area slopes gently from west to east and
from south to north toward the Snohomish River.
Drainage patterns: Storm water runoff drains generally toward the Snohomish River.
Existing; Vegetation: The project area had been vegetated prior to 2016, but was
cleared up to a point near the the existing wood retaining wall. The only remaining'
vegetation is located against the retaining wall, where grading was done to a point near
the retaining wall. Grading was not peformed up to the wall in most locations as the wall
is aging and it appears that erosion has occurred against it.
Critical Areas (wetlands, streams, high erosion risk, steep or difficult to stabilize slopes):
The site is located adjacent to the Shohomish River. The existing retaining wall is aging
and it appears that erosion has occurred up to it.
List of known impairments for 303(d) listed or Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for the
receiving waterbody: The Snohomish River is on the 303(d) list for sediment directly north of
the site, but is listed only as a category 1 waterbody.
Table 1 includes a list of suspected and/or known contaminants associated with the construction
activity.
