These <br /> comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other <br /> departments such as Utilities, Planning or Fire. All references refer to the 2015 International Building <br /> Code (IBC), 2015 International Residential Code (IRC), as amended by the State of Washington <br /> and/or Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) 2015 Edition, as adopted by the City of Everett, <br /> unless stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue,it will be necessary to provide <br /> the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the corrections <br /> requested. <br /> Construction documents shall be of sufficient clarity to indicate the location, nature <br /> and extent of the work proposed and show in detail that it will conform to the <br /> provisions of the building code and relevant laws,ordinances, rules and regulations. <br /> 1. Building department records show a building permit issued in July of 1975 for a detached <br /> carport and for the conversion of a one-car garage into a family room. <br /> A floor plan was included in the submittal that shows the location of all of the rooms at the <br /> time of the permit application. At that time there was one bathroom, 3 bedrooms, a <br /> laundry room, kitchen, dining room, living room and the new family room. <br /> There are no subsequent permits for the conversion of the carport into a garage, the <br /> connection of the carport to the residence, the conversion of a portion of the carport into a <br /> laundry room or the addition of a bathroom. <br /> Please provide construction drawings for the conversion of the carport into a garage, the <br /> addition of a laundry room and the additional 3/4 bathroom. <br /> 2. The walls (R-21), floor(R-30) and ceiling (R-49) of the laundry room are required to meet <br /> the requirements of the 2015 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC).
