EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />The Service Provider will perfrom a variety of Geotechnical Engineering and Inspection services on an on -call and <br />as -needed basis under this Agreement, inlcuding slope stability evaluations, geotechnical design, shoring design, <br />subsurface geotechnical investigations, construction support services, geotechnical peer review, site development <br />review, storm drainage evaluations, site -specific seismic hazard studies, constructability review, and geotechnical <br />inspection/observation of City construction projects. <br />The scope and fee for projects under this agreement shall be established separately for each individual project using <br />a Task Authorization form, provided as Exhibit Al. The Service Provider may use its own Task Authorization form <br />so long as it includes the same necessary information (scope, fee, signatures, dates, project name, etc.). The Task <br />Authorization form shall include a detailed scope of work and fee for each project and shall be signed by both <br />parties prior to the Service Provider performing any work under this Agreement. The City does not guarantee that <br />any work will be assigned to the Service Provider under this Agreement, except that which is authorized using the <br />Task Authorization form. <br />The scope of services may include a combination of the following tasks: <br />1. Review of available drawings, geotechnical studies, maps, photographs, and other available documentation <br />pertinent to the project or area of concern. <br />2. Detailed reconnaissance of the project area and subsurface geotechnical investigations, including deep <br />excavations, shallow excavations, barhole investigation/probing, sampling, field testing, laboratory testing, etc. <br />3. Preparation of a work plan for any additional on -site exploration, laboratory testing, and analysis that may be <br />required to properly evaluate the site and develop recommendations for mitigation as appropriate. <br />4. Meeting with City staff to discuss findings and develp plans for further action, as appropriate for the project. <br />5. Prepare summary reports appropriate for the project. The level of detail for reports may vary, ranging from <br />technical memos and field reports to detailed design or investigation reports with detailed drawings, maps, boring <br />logs, calculations, etc. <br />6. Other geotechnical engineering tasks requested by the City. <br />After both parties sign a Task Authorization form for a project, it becomes part of this Agreement and is subject to <br />the terms and conditions of this Agreement. <br />Page 12 <br />GeoEngineers PSA 2021 <br />
