EXHIBIT A- SCOPE OF WORK <br /> PROJECT OVERVIEW <br /> This project involves the replacement of an existing built-up roofing system with a new built-up roofing system at <br /> the 21,530 square foot Filter Building located at the City of Everett's Water Filter Plant. The building is rectangular <br /> in shape with a raised area for ventilation that runs the lengthwise down the middle of the roof and is framed in <br /> precast concrete double tee joists and concrete walls. 2812 architecture will design the new roofing system. 2812 <br /> architecture will prepare specifications and drawings for the proposed roofing system.2812 architecture will also <br /> provide structural details to supplement the roofing drawings if necessary,to obtain the building permit <br /> This contract will includes 150 hours of miscellaneous on-call architectural services for Public Works. <br /> Task 1 FILTER BUILDING REROOF <br /> Sub Task 1 --Preliminary Design <br /> 2812 architects will evaluate existing conditions and collect field measurements. Subtasks include: <br /> 1.1 Provide one site visit to confirm project dimensions <br /> 1.2 Obtain and review available existing drawings and historical documents. <br /> 1.3 Prepare preliminary plans. <br /> Sub Task 2—Construction Documents <br /> 2812 architects will provide final design documents,which will include plans for the proposed project. Subtasks <br /> include: <br /> 2.1 Prepare 100%specifications. <br /> 2.2 Prepare architectural drawings with details. <br /> 2.2 Provide bid estimate. <br /> } <br /> Sub Task 3—Bidding <br /> 3.1 Finalize documents and specifications for bidding as necessary. <br /> 3.2 Attend pre-bid meeting. <br /> 3.3 Prepare one bid addendum as necessary. <br /> 3.4- Assist with bid evaluation as necessary. <br /> Sub Task 4—Construction Administration <br /> 4.1 Provide construction support as required to construct the improvements. <br /> 4.2 Respond to bid RFI's(not to exceed 4 RFI's} <br /> 4.3 Working with the City's project manager prepare a punch list associated with the work when construction has <br /> been substantially completed. <br /> Assumptions <br /> • The City is responsible for front end specifications,such as general conditions. <br /> • City will pay all applicable permitting fees. <br /> • The City will be responsible for the preparation and advertisement of all bid documents. <br /> • City project manager will be responsible for day-to-day construction administration activities. <br />
