DocuSign Envelope ID:6AC3CB92-3CB2-4BCO-A9A8-6ED57765F93C <br /> 2022 EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Any activities (field work,trainings,volunteer events, outreach meeting, etc.) as part of this <br /> Scope of Work will abide by state and local COVID-19 orders,follow Forterra and City COVID- <br /> 19 protocols, and be at the discretion of Forterra and the City of Everett. <br /> Task One: Forest Steward Training and Support <br /> Forest Stewards are at the core of the Green Everett Partnership's community-based volunteer <br /> engagement. Forest Stewards are recruited,trained, and then assume responsibility for leading <br /> and supporting restoration projects at approved sites. Comprehensive support and growth of the <br /> Forest Stewards helps ensure the success of the Green Everett Partnership. <br /> Task One Deliverables <br /> 1) Forterra will coordinate and implement, as needed, Forest Steward Orientations open to <br /> the public to attract new potential volunteers, Forest Stewards,and Support Stewards. <br /> This includes correspondence with potential stewards,presentations, and training. In the <br /> case of COVID-19 restrictions, interested stewards will be on-boarded remotely, <br /> followed by a one-on-one practical session. <br /> 2) Forterra will serve as the main contact for current and new Forest Stewards, respond to <br /> questions, address problems, and provide general support to Forest Stewards. This <br /> includes collecting and tracking event requests and coordinating with event leader and <br /> City staff. City will also provide insight, approval, and direction for site stewardship. <br /> 3) Forterra will coordinate and host at least one CEDAR training for Forest Stewards online <br /> and provide support as needed. <br /> 4) Forterra will coordinate a Forest Steward and staff appreciation event or gesture to <br /> celebrate achievements. <br /> 5) Forterra will organize a minimum of one site visit per year for each active park with <br /> current and new Forest Stewards, in coordination with Everett Parks (a minimum of 7 <br /> total visits). Forterra will take notes and follow up on action items. Active parks include: <br /> 1)Thornton A. Sullivan, 2) Forest Park, 3)Howarth Park,4)Hannabrook Park, 5) S. <br /> Everett Forest Preserve, 6)Rotary Park, and 7)Johnston Kelly Park. <br /> 6) Forterra will develop and staff a minimum of 6 events, including Forest Steward work <br /> parties and customized events for groups such as corporations and schools.
