Workplace-Related Incidents of Sexual Misconduct and Domestic Violence Involving Employees, <br /> Volunteers,Consultants or Contractors <br /> Employees of the Everett Police Department are subject to existing Department and City of Everett <br /> Policies related to workplace violence, sexual misconduct/harassment,and domestic violence. <br /> Allegations of sexual misconduct or domestic violence in the workplace involving volunteers, consultants <br /> or contractors will be investigated and forwarded through the chain of command to the appropriate <br /> Deputy Chief. <br /> Workplace supports and/or resources for volunteers,consultants and contractors who are victims of <br /> sexual misconduct or domestic violence in the workplace will be made available through the <br /> Department or Human Resources. <br /> Any sustained finding of sexual misconduct or domestic violence in the workplace, regardless of arrest <br /> and/or conviction,will be evaluated on case-by-case basis by the Chief of Police and Human Resources. <br /> This evaluation may result in the termination of any existing contract or partnership between the <br /> Everett Police Department and a volunteer, consultant,or contractor. <br /> DEFINITIONS: <br /> Domestic Violence(RCW 26.50.010)—Physical harm, bodily injury,assault,or the infliction of fear of <br /> imminent physical harm, bodily injury,or assault,sexual assault, or stalking (RCW 9A.46.110), of(a)one <br /> intimate partner by another intimate partner;or(b)one family or household member by another family <br /> or household member. <br /> Intimate Partners—Domestic Violence Related Definition (RCW 26.50.010(7))—Individuals who have <br /> the following types of relationships between one another: <br /> • Spouses, or domestic partners <br /> • Former spouses,or former domestic partners <br /> • Persons who have a child in common regardless of whether they have been married or have lived <br /> together at any time <br /> •Adult persons presently or previously residing together who have or have had a dating relationship <br /> • Persons sixteen years of age or older who are presently residing together or who have resided <br /> together in the past and who have or have had a dating relationship <br /> • Persons sixteen years of age or older with whom a person sixteen years of age or older has or has had <br /> a dating relationship <br /> Dating Relationship(RCW 26.50.010)—A social relationship of a romantic nature. <br />
