• •
I have a few follow up comments regarding permit B1909-017:
1. On the site plan, please call out the type of shrubs to be planted around the ground mounted equipment.
Please see sheet A-2.1. #8 The new landscaping will be Easter Red Cedar. Also see sheet L-1 for planting details.
2. On the site plan, please call out the setback of the proposed ground mounted equipment from the rear(south)
property line. The required setback is 5-feet.
Please see sheet A-2.1. The set back is 5' & 2" and the measurement is shown under the red clouding inside the
New Equipment Plan and again also on sheet L-1.
3. Can you clarify the type of material proposed for the roof mounted equipment? All roof mounted equipment is
metal. We were not able to confirm the exact composition for the metal of the different components. The tripod
mounts would be steel, antennas are mostly copper or another light metal covered in an oxide inhibitor, nuts
and bolts are most often stainless steel. This equipment is manufactured and installed to specific conditions set
by the manufacturer, latest international building codes, municipal &state codes and utility guidelines, and the
materials have been adjusted to meet these requirements. If you have an actual picture of this installed
elsewhere that would be helpful. The new equipment has been custom made so we were not able to find
photos. Please either screen or paint the roof mounted equipment so that it is not reflective and blends in with
the surrounding area. Please see the notes on the revised plans saying that the equipment will be painted to
match the existing conditions on sheets A-3, A3.1,A-4.We do not use reflective paint unless we are directed to
do so by the FAA or the local jurisdiction. Please revise the plans accordingly. Please see the attached
4. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Alexandria Byrd
- Assistant Planner I Community, Planning& Economic Development
425.257.7281 13200 Cedar Street 2nd Fl., Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
From: Colleen Donahue<Colleen.Donahue@smartlinkllc.com>
Sent: Friday, November 15, 2019 9:32 AM
To:Alex Byrd<AByrd@everettwa.gov>
Cc: Cody Fann<cody.fann@smartlinkllc.com>; Brianne Petersen<brianne.petersen@smartlinkllc.com>
Subject: RE: B1909-017 -4310 Colby- Planning Corrections
Alex! I need to look into this to determine if any additional review is
required for new ground mounted equipment associated with an existing wireless facility.
I will get back to you early next week.
Thanks,
2/ 3
