permit active. Each inspection extends the permit out another 6 months. As long as construction is actively pursuing to
completion, and inspections are recorded, the permits will stay open and active. However if work stops for more than 6
months at a time or inspections are failed to be requested, the permit is assumed neglected and will expire. These
letters are courtesy notices to give you the option to reactivate your permit, but it is critical that inspections are taking
place if work is taking place and that the permit is finaled and closed out when the project is complete. I will forward
your request along to our staff that handles permit extensions.
If you have an account on our Online Permitting Portal, you can keep track of all of your permits, their inspections and
their expiration dates. I highly recommend that the Port get an account or that project managers make an account to
manage their specific projects. Please let us know if you need help getting started with eTRAKiT and we will get staff in
touch with you to set up your account. Our help brochure is available on our website:
https://everettwa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/1652/Inspection-Request-Instructions-PDF?bidld=
Thanks,
Sabrina Fandler, P.E.
ElAssociate Engineer I Permit Services
425.257.7813 13200 Cedar Street,2nd Floor, Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT Hours: Monday—Friday 7:30am-12:OOpm and 1:OOpm-4:OOpm
everettwa.gov/permits I Facebook I Twitter
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
From: Brandon Whitaker<BWhitaker@portofeverett.com>
Sent:Wednesday,April 3,2019 8:34 AM
To:Sabrina Fandler<SFandler@everettwa.gov>
Subject: Port of Everett: B1808-001& PW1808-006
Sabrina,
We received a letter from Public Works, dated 3/2/9/19,stating the above referenced permits have expired. This work
is still being conducted, can you please extend these out another four months?
Question—I did not spot language on the permits stating they would expire by a certain date, is there a set timeframe
Public Works uses for these permits?
Thanks.
Brandon
2 0760
