Project summary statement: The purpose of this briefing is to provide Council with a general overview of a Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) Plan. A PROS Plan provides the framework for decisions regarding parks and recreation project and program priorities. The plan is updated every six years and it is kept on file with the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) in order to maintain the City’s grant eligibility. Here is a link to the PROS Plan project website. Here is a LINK to a draft copy of the City of Everett’s 2022 PROS Plan for Council review. Another briefing specific to the City’s 2022 PROS Plan will be presented to Council on 2/9/2022, followed by a public hearing and Council action to adopt on 2/16/2022.
