M <br /> Your assistance and cooperation is being requested to correct the property conditions. <br /> The unpermitted alterations render the structure unlawful as defined by the International Property <br /> Maintenance Code(IPMC) 108.1.4 in violation of IPMC 106.1 and the International Residential Code <br /> (IRC) R105.1,which read: <br /> IPMC 108.1.4 Unlawful structure. <br /> An unlawful structure is one found in whole or in part to be occupied by more persons than permitted <br /> under this code, or was erected, altered or occupied contrary to law. <br /> IPMC 106.1 Unlawful acts. <br /> It shall be unlawful for a person,firm or corporation to be in conflict with or in violation of any of the <br /> provisions of this code. <br /> IRC R105.1 Required. <br /> Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish or <br /> change the occupancy of a building or structure,or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, <br /> convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is <br /> regulated by this code, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the <br /> building official and obtain the required permit. <br /> To resolve these property violations the following corrective actions are required: <br /> 1. Apply for and obtain the City of Everett Public Works permits and Building Department permits <br /> required to bring the property into compliance with the Everett Municipal Code, International <br /> Residential Code and the International Property Maintenance Code. <br /> 2. The completed alterations work at the property is required by City of Everett Public Works <br /> permits and Building Department permits to have the work inspected, approved and finaled by <br /> staff from the City of Everett, Public Works Department and Building Department. <br /> Corrective action must be completed before January 7,2020. <br /> Failure to comply with the conditions listed in this notice may result in a hearing before the City's <br /> Hearing Examiner and a fine and/or costs being assessed against you. <br /> If you have any questions please call me at(425)257-8561 or e-mail egolden@everettwa.gov.
