I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON <br /> SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br /> PORT OF EVERETT COMBINED SEWER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WO NO. - UP3768 <br /> NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS <br /> ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the PORT OF EVERETT COMBINED SEWER MAIN <br /> IMPROVEMENTS will be received at the Purchasing Counter, 3200 Cedar Street, Door#5, Everett, WA, <br /> 98201, until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30,2021. The Purchasing Counter is open Monday-Friday, <br /> from 8:00am - 3:00pm. At the appointed time, all bids will be opened and read aloud publicly via webcast <br /> only. The link for the webcast is located at https://everettwa.gov/319/Procurement. For questions regarding <br /> logging into the webcast call (425) 257-8903. The engineer's estimate for this Project is approximately <br /> $6,000,000 (including sales tax). <br /> This Project is located within the Port of Everett and construction crosses portions of the Kimberly-Clark <br /> Worldwide MTCA Site and the ExxonMobil/ADC MTCA site, which are listed on the Washington State <br /> Department of Ecology's (ECY) Confirmed and Suspected Contaminated Sites List. Work on this project is <br /> subject to the Port of Everett site Soil and Groundwater Management Plans and to the conditions of the <br /> Temporary Construction License Agreement between the City of Everett and Port of Everett. <br /> Work being performed includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary <br /> to construct approximately 2,270 linear feet of 42-inch combined sewer force main and 2,300 linear feet of <br /> 12-inch combined sewer force main and other such appurtenances, including trench excavation, haul, <br /> stockpiling and disposal, preparation of a project Health and Safety Plan with related submittals, and <br /> performing all Work as required by the Contract. The Contractor must comply with strict time limitations for <br /> construction, which are discussed in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall commence <br /> construction activities on the Project site within seven calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. <br /> Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is <br /> provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on <br /> "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully <br /> usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous <br /> reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders"Register" in <br /> order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the "Self- <br /> Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will <br /> need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders <br /> Exchange of Washington at(425) 258-1303 should you require assistance with access or registration. <br /> All bids must be made upon the City forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied by a bid <br /> bond or certified check or cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent(5%) of the total amount <br /> of the Bid, all as set forth in the Contract Documents. One hundred percent (100%) Payment and <br /> Performance Bonds will be required of the successful Bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the <br /> Contract.
