<br />GENERAL ARCHITECTURAL NOTES: Everett, Washington
<br />1. VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS AT THE SITE BEFORE STARTING WORK
<br />2. COMPLY WITH ALL LOCAL CODES AND ORDINANCES.
<br />3. VERIFY LOCATION AND DISPOSITION OF UTILITIES.

<br />5. ALL DIMENSIONS SHOWN ON DRAWINGS ARE TAKEN FROM ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE,
<br />U.N.O. AS SUCH, FIELD VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS PRIOR TO START OF WORK
<br />6. ALL WORK AND MATERIALS SHALL MEET THE STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CITY OF EVERETT ADOPTED CODES AND
<br />AMENDMENTS TO THE CODES.
<br />7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL APPLY AND SECURE ALL OCCUPANCY, SEWER, STORM WATER, ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL AND OTHER
<br />PERMITS REQUIRED, AND THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PAY ALL NECESSARY FEES AND POST BONDS AS REQUIRED.
<br />8. POUR NO CONCRETE WHEN THE ANTIGPATED SITE TEMPERATURE WILL BE BELOW 34 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT DURING THE
<br />FIRST 48 HOURS OF CURING.
<br />9. WORKING HOURS FOR THE USE OF LOUD EQUIPMENT SHALL BE LIMITED TO TIMES ESTABLISHED BY CITY OF EVERETT AUTHORITY.
<br />THIS EQUIPMENT SHALL INCLUDE BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO COMPRESSORS, GRADERS, DRILLS, COMPACTORS, RADIOS, AND OTHER
<br />SIMILAR EQUIPMENT. RADIOS, CD PLAYERS, BOOM BOXES, ETC. SHALL NOT BE PLAYED WHERE THEY WILL CAUSE DISTURBANCE
<br />TO TENANTS.
<br />10. THE INTENT OF THE DRAWINGS IS TO SHOW GENERAL SCOPE AND INTENT OF THE WORK METHODS AND MATERIALS NOT
<br />EXPLICITLY IMPLIED ARE INTENDED TO BE BUILDER DESIGNED. PROVIDE SUBMITTALS FOR APPROVAL WHERE SPECIFICALLY
<br />REQUESTED IN THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AND AS SPECIFIED. WRITTEN DIMENSIONS ON THE DRAWINGS SHALL HAVE
<br />PRECEDENCE OVER SCALED DIMENSIONS (SEE NOTE 5). CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS, CONDITIONS, ETC.,
<br />PERTAINING TO THE WORK BEFORE PROCEEDING. THE ARCHITECTS OFFICE SHALL BE NOTIFIED OF ANY VARIATIONS FROM
<br />THE DIMENSIONS AND/OR CONDITIONS SHOWN ON THESE DOCUMENTS. ANY SUCH VARIATIONS SHALL BE RESOLVED BY THE
<br />ARCHITECTS OFFICE PRIOR TO PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK, OR THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR
<br />COST TO RECTIFY SAME.
<br />11. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL ELEVATIONS PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK. DISCREPANCIES FOUND IN THE FIELD
<br />SHALL BE RESOLVED AS INDICATED IN THE PRECEDING NOTE.
<br />12. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ERECTION BRACING, SHORING, AND TENTING DURING CONSTRUCTION.
<br />13. FEATURES NOT FULLY SHOWN ON PLANS OR DETAILS ARE TO BE PROVIDED AS SPECIFIED FOR SIMILAR CONDITIONS.
<br />14. ALL WORK REQUIRED SHALL BE PROVIDED, INSTALLED COMPLETE AND IN OPERATING CONDITION.
<br />15. QUALITY OF MATERIALS AS SPECIFIED SHALL BE CONSIDERED MINIMUM AND ANY CHANGE SHALL BE OF DEMONSTRATED BETTER
<br />QUALITY UNLESS SPECIFICALLY RELEASED BY OWNER (OR OWNER'S AGENT AND APPROVED BY THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT.
<br />MATERIALS NOT SPECIFIED SHALL BE OF A HIGH QUALITY INTENDED FOR RESIDENTIAL USE. PROVIDE ADEQUATE HEAT AND SHELTER
<br />FOR MATERIAL PRIOR TO, AND DURING EXECUTION OF THE WORK, AND UNTIL OWNER ACCEPTANCE, TO MAINTAIN DIMENSIONAL
<br />STABILITY AND MATERIAL QUALITY. MATERIALS AT INSTALLATION SHALL BE OF A MOISTURE CONTENT THAT WILL NOT ALTER GENERAL
<br />APPEARANCE OR INTEGRITY OF ASSEMBLY WHEN MOISTURE CONTENT DECREASES TO SERVICEABLE LEVELS. MATERIALS ARE TO BE
<br />INSTALLED IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER TO THE HIGHEST INDUSTRY STANDARDS, ALL PARTS TO BE COMPLETE AND OPERATIONAL
<br />16. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE THE WORK OF ALL TRADES TO AVOID INTERFERENCE BETWEEN DIVISIONS OF THE
<br />WORK WHERE INSTALLATION AND/OR CONNECTION OF EQUIPMENT IS NOT SPECIFIED AND WHERE SUCH CONNECTION AND/OR
<br />INSTALLATION IS REQUIRED FOR A COMPLETE AND OPERABLE SYSTEM, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH
<br />CONNECTION AND/OR INSTALLATION. THIS WORK SHALL INCLUDE ALL UTILITY HOOKUPS INCLUDING THE COST TO ENERGIZE THE
<br />ELECTRICAL SYSTEM BY LOCAL UTILITY COMPANY.
<br />17. CONTRACTOR TO REMOVE ALL MATERIALS NOT RELATED TO THE FINISHED PRODUCT FROM THE SITE, (DO NOT BURY ON SITE).

<br />Work to be performed under this permit/contract involves repair work
<br />necessary due to Issues with the buildings original construction. Areas that
<br />will fail under the scope of this work are included in the following list: ;Refer to

<br />> Improved drainage of exterior deck areas as directed
<br />> Provide new waterproof traffic surface on all decks as directed.
<br />> Remove some or all of existing siding and replace as directed.
<br />> Repair, replace, or provide shear wall panels as directed.
<br />> Remove existing and construct new walkway bridge between
<br />buildings 1 and 2.
<br />Make Improvements to existing drainage in elevator lobby areas on each
<br />floor as directed.
<br />Install new and/or repair existing windows and doors as directed.
<br />> Repair, replace, and/or provide (lashings and counter flashings In ell areas
<br />to provide a watertight structure. Including; column bases, window/door
<br />penetrations deck edges, utility penetrations
<br />> Provide necessary means to bring all stair towers to current code requirements.
<br />Inspect and repair all utility dosets (furnace & water heater spaces) to
<br />correct problems associated with water leakage. This Includes cesmgs
<br />from problems on level above.
<br />> Provide water heater drip pans at all units that continue to use tank type
<br />water heating systems.
<br />> Inspect and provide fire taping, fire stopping, and fire shaft assembles for
<br />utlllty closet shafts from the 2nd (first level of dwelling units) through to
<br />underside If roof sheathing.
<br />> Provide fire taping, GWB repairs, and fire -stopping of all dlmising partitions In
<br />attic space to achieve rated assembly required (one or two hour).
<br />> Provide work as directed for all seismic hold down hardware and assemblies
<br />that we accessible from exterior of buildings, Including incidental Interior work
<br />scheduled herein.
<br />> Replace existing guardrails as directed herein after removal during deck work.
<br />Areas that do not receive deck work will still require that handrails be removed
<br />and reinstalled as directed.
<br />> Repair/replace existing gutters for positive drainage.
<br />> Construct arbors at level 2 where shown on drawings. Route downspouts
<br />as shown on arbor details.
<br />> Replace lighting In elevator lobbies In each building, on each floor as directed.
