Secondary containment facilities shall be impervious to the materials stored <br />therein for a minimum contact time of 72 hours. <br />. Secondary containment facilities shall be maintained free of accumulated rain- <br />water and spills. In the event of spills or leaks, accumulated rainwater and spills <br />shall be collected and placed into drums. These liquids shall be handled as haz- <br />ardous waste unless testing determines them to be non -hazardous. <br />. Sufficient separation should be provided between stored containers to allow for <br />spill cleanup and emergency response access. <br />. During the wet weather season (Oct 1 — April 30), each secondary containment <br />facility shall be covered during non working days, prior to and during rain events. <br />. Keep material storage areas clean, organized and equipped with an ample supply <br />of appropriate spill clean-up material (spill kit). <br />.
