Electrical panels were <br /> distributed throughout the building, mostly in the major mechanical spaces. <br /> Insulation <br /> Some fiberglass batts were seen. Vermiculite was present in the exterior walls of the <br /> 1980's expansion. The 1920's building appeared to be mostly uninsulated. <br /> Roofing <br /> The 1920's portion of the building had an asphaltic shingle roof facade with an asbestos <br /> containing paper visible at the gutters. The remainder of this portion of the building had a <br /> flat roof of asphaltic sheets. <br /> The 1960's portion of the building had a roof of rolled asphalt. Asbestos containing <br /> sealant was visible on a ventilation duct just outside the 5th floor roof access window. This <br /> material was not seen elsewhere on the roof. The 198's portion of the building had <br /> sections of rolled asphaltic roofing and a rubberized non-slip coating, neither of which <br /> contained asbestos. <br /> 5 <br />
