January 12, 2022 <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Fosse attended the Riverside Neighborhood Association meeting <br /> at which a status update was requested regarding some of the parks restrooms. <br /> She requested follow-up information on that issue. She attended the Puget Sound <br /> Regional Council Growth Management Policy Board and received a briefing on the <br /> upcoming 2022 Legislative Session, which focused on growth management bills. <br /> She mentioned that she is Chair of the Planning Committee, will serve on the <br /> Economic and Cultural Vitality and Public Safety Committees, and will also be an <br /> alternate for Snohomish County Tomorrow. She is looking forward to attending <br /> the Cultural Arts Commission and Historical Commission meetings soon. <br /> Council Member Zarlingo wanted to thank staff for preliminary briefings on a <br /> number of items in advance council assignment meetings, which will allow them <br /> to get off the ground as quickly as possible. He also thanked Council Member <br /> Vogeli for getting underway with the Parks Committee duties and is looking <br /> forward to meeting with them in the future. <br /> Council Member Rhyne stated that she will be starting liaison meetings next week. <br /> She looks forward to meeting with community members to discuss how Everett <br /> can be a great partner in the interests they have been working on. She is also <br /> excited to get in touch with individuals who applied for the districting commission <br /> to discuss qualifications and interests. Lastly, she made comments on the <br /> Providence Hospital situation relating to the pandemic. According to the <br /> Snohomish Health District, of the ICU beds that are filled with COVID patients, <br /> ninety percent are unvaccinated. She encouraged people to get vaccinated to <br /> protect themselves and others. <br /> Council Member Schwab wanted to thank the Mayor's staff for working on the <br /> boards and commissions and thanked Deb Williams for her work in bringing the <br /> new council members on board. He also stated that he will be interviewing <br /> applicants who applied to serve on the Districting Commission. <br /> 4 <br />
