I <br /> Section 01 31 13 <br /> Project Coordination <br /> PART 1-GENERAL <br /> A. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to coordinate all Work to be performed under this <br /> Contract. The Contractor shall supervise and direct the Work and determine the means, methods, <br /> 1 techniques, sequences and procedures of construction, except in those instances where the Owner, <br /> to define the quality of an item of Work, specifies in the Contract, a means, method,technique, <br /> sequence or procedure for construction of that item of Work. <br /> ' B. The Contractor shall notify the Owner in writing of the name of the person who will act as the <br /> Contractor's representative and shall have the authority to act in matter relating to this Contract. <br /> This person shall have the authority to carry out the provisions of the Contract and to supply <br /> ' materials, equipment,tools and labor without delay for the performance of the work, all in <br /> accordance with the Contract Documents. <br /> C. The Contractor agrees to permit entry to the site of the work by the Owner, its employees or other <br /> contractors performing work on behalf of the Owner. The contractor shall afford to the Owner, <br /> other contractors and their employees, reasonable facilities and cooperation and shall arrange its <br /> Work and dispose of its materials in such a manner as to not interfere with the activities of the <br /> Owner or of other upon the site of Work. The Contractor shall coordinate its Work with that of <br /> others and perform its Work in proper sequence in relation to that of others. <br /> D. If requested by the Contractor,the Owner will arrange meetings with other contractors performing <br /> work on behalf of the Owner to plan coordination of construction activities. The Contractor shall <br /> inform itself of the planned activities of other contractors and shall coordinate its work with the <br /> other contractors. <br /> ' E. Contractor shall notify the Owner of problems, interference or any difficulty with other contractors <br /> or workers engaged by the Owner. The Notice shall be sufficiently prompt and specific so as to <br /> allow the Owner to mitigate or avoid increased costs,time of performance, damages or injury. <br /> Contractor's failure to provide such Notice in a timely way shall be deemed a waiver and release of <br /> any and all Contract Claims relating to, arising out of,or caused by, any alleged interference, <br /> difficulty or problem with another contractor or worker engaged by the Owner. <br /> F. The Contractor shall keep the Everett Parks and Recreation Department advised of the progress of <br /> all Work. <br /> G. The Contractor shall be responsible for the adequacy,efficiency and sufficiency of subcontractors, <br /> manufacturers, suppliers and their employees. <br /> H. Contractor shall be responsible for the adequacy, efficiency and sufficiency of its employees. <br /> Workers shall have sufficient knowledge, skill and experience to perform properly the work <br /> assigned to them. <br /> I. Coordination between adjacent businesses that utilize any adjoining alleys or easements shall be <br /> through the Owner. Every effort shall be made to reduce the impact of this project to any adjacent <br /> business. <br /> J. The Contractor shall coordinate and work with any artists who are performing work on the Owners' <br /> behalf. <br /> Rotary Park Renovation 1 of 2 <br />
