Please review and respond to the comments below. <br /> 1. According to the building permit application, it appears that the proposed <br /> use of the building is to become an Adult Family Home (AFH)from its current <br /> use as a Single-Family Residence (SFR). Please review the Adult Family Home <br /> Checklist PDF that is available from the City of Everett Permit Services web <br /> portal regarding conversions of a SFR to a AFH. Conversion of the SFR to an <br /> AFH use requires demonstrating compliance with the IRC 325 provisions,which <br /> includes, but is not limited to, documenting intended sleeping area <br /> classifications, installing grab bars and meeting dimensional requirements for <br /> bathrooms, installation of accessible ramps, and addressing escape windows <br /> and doors in sleeping areas. Please provide scaled floor plans of the converted <br /> spaces. IRC R325. <br /> 2. If an AFH is being proposed, please complete Sections 1, 2, and 3 of the AFH <br /> Local Building Inspection Checklist which is provided on pages 6-12 of the PDF <br /> mentioned in Item 1 of this permit review letter. Please note that on Section 3, <br /> reduced versions of larger scaled AFH plans to 8.5" x 11" are not acceptable. <br /> The 8.5" x 11" sheets should contain floor plans with readable descriptions of <br /> the sleeping areas and other AFH components as required by the WA State <br /> Department of Social and Health Services(DSHS). <br /> PERMIT SERVICES <br /> 3. If appears that an alteration of bathroom fixtures is being proposed with the <br /> 3200 Cedar Street door relocation. Given that the proposed use is a AFH, it would appear that <br /> Everett,WA 98201 proposed layout is missing the required grab bars, blocking, and dimensional <br /> requirements required for AFH bathrooms. Please revise the layout such that <br /> O425.257.8810 these components are installed.
