Reducing Text Messaging While Driving. Pursuant to Executive Order z35l3'74pn51225(October 6,lo09>' <br /> Grantee is encouraged to adopt and enforce policies that ban text messaging while driving,and to establish <br /> workplace safety policies to decrease accidents caused hy distracted drivers. <br /> g. False Statements. Grantee understands that making false statements o, claims in connection with this <br /> Agreement may be a violation of federal law and may result in criminal, civil, or administrative sanctions, <br /> including fines, imprison/nent, civil damages and penalties,debarment from participating in federal orCity <br /> awards ur contracts,and/or any other remedy available bylaw. <br /> 10. Applicable Laws. <br /> A. The Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of <br /> Washington. <br /> B. Grantee agrees to comply with the requirements of section 6U3 of the Act,the Treasury's regulations <br /> implementing that section' and guidance issued by Treasury regarding the foregoing, Grantee also <br /> agrees to comply with all other applicable federal laws, regulations, and executive orders,and Grantee <br /> shall provide for such compliance by other parties in any agreements it enters into with other parties <br /> relating to this Agreement. <br /> C.
