City of Everett <br /> This will include developing a truncated hydraulic model in Visual Hydraulics to evaluate <br /> upstream and downstream impacts. <br /> 2. Develop up to three alternative arrangements to address each of the two components of <br /> the proposed improvements—bar screen bypass and secondary effluent flow diversion. <br /> 3. Prepare schematic figures to characterize each alternative. <br /> 4. Characterize advantages and disadvantages of each alternative in a summary table for <br /> joint review and evaluation of the alternatives with City staff to identify a recommended <br /> arrangement. This will include non-quantified considerations of cost, space constraints, <br /> constructability, accessibility, hydraulic impacts, redundancy, flexibility, and other criteria <br /> as deemed important by the City. <br /> 5. Conduct Alternatives Review workshop via MS Teams with a follow up site visit to <br /> confirm recommendations. <br /> 6. Conduct topographic survey, locate underground utilities, and prepare a base map for <br /> proposed work area. <br /> 7. Identify automation, instrumentation, and control requirements for the recommended <br /> improvements. This will include preparation of preliminary control narratives. <br /> 8. Prepare preliminary design drawings (one plan view and up to two sections) for the <br /> recommended arrangement. <br /> 9. Prepare a preliminary opinion of probable construction cost for the recommended <br /> alternative. <br /> 10. Prepare a preliminary design and construction schedule for the recommended <br /> alternative and identify project permitting requirements. <br /> 11. Prepare draft and final Pre-Design Report. <br /> 12. Conduct Draft pre-Design Report Review meeting via MS Teams. BHC will prepare <br /> meeting notes to summarize comments and discussions. <br /> 13. Submit Pre-Design report to Ecology Permit manager for review. <br /> 14. Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Perform QA/QC review of work products <br /> generated during this task. <br /> City of Everett Responsibilities <br /> 1. Provide available AutoCAD and PDF record drawings for all piping and facilities within <br /> the potential work area surrounding the vault. <br /> 2. Provide written summary of current, seasonal, min/max ranges for operating water <br /> surface elevations and flows for the vault and the associated upstream and downstream <br /> systems. <br /> 3. Provide a copy of the most recent hydraulic profile. <br /> 4. Provide copies of current control narratives related to operation of the South End Pump <br /> Station and associated diversion. <br /> 5. Provide available geotechnical information for the site. <br /> 6. Provide written review comments on the draft Pre-Design Report. <br /> Assumptions and Meetings <br /> 1. One (1) alternatives review workshop to be held with the City to review initial <br /> alternatives. Up to three (3) BHC project staff to attend (MS Teams with follow up site <br /> visit) <br /> 2, One (1) review meeting to be held with the City to review draft Pre-Design Report. Up to <br /> three (3) BHC project staff to attend. <br /> 3.
