February 2, 2022 <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mayor Franklin commented that the new or re-appointed candidates to the <br /> Planning Commission will be announced soon. <br /> Mayor Franklin also informed Council that she appointed Joel Haack to Position 3 <br /> of the Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) Committee for a four- <br /> year term. Council approval is not required for appointments to this committee. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Comments and liaison reports were provided by Council Members Zarlingo, <br /> Rhyne, Vogeli, Schwab, Fosse, and Stonecipher. <br /> Council Member Fosse presented a letter from the League of Women Voters of <br /> Washington, recommending adoption of the proposed policy on the Urban Tree <br /> Canopy into the 2024 update to the Snohomish County Growth Management Act <br /> (GMA) Comprehensive Plan, and asked Council to move the letter forward for <br /> consideration. <br /> Moved by Council Member Fosse, seconded by Council Member Vogeli,to place <br /> the League of Women Voters' letter on the February 9, 2022 Council Agenda for <br /> consideration. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> President Stonecipher stated that the League of Women Voter's letter will be <br /> placed on next week's Council agenda for consideration and requested a staff <br /> report on how it will impact the City's Comprehensive Plan process. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Deputy Mayor Nick Harper had no updates. <br /> 2 <br />
