We <br /> observed the installation 5 test pin piles along the western walls of the existing residence foundation. <br /> The piles to be driven consisted of 2-inch diameter, schedule 80, steel pipe, in approximately 5-foot <br /> sections that were connected with internal slip couplers. The piles were driven to a refusal criteria of less <br /> than one inch of vertical movement in 60 seconds of continuous driving with a 140-pound Rhino Heavy <br /> Duty Post Driver. We monitored as each of the pin piles were driven to refusal. The depths of refusal <br /> and corresponding pile numbers are listed in the table below. The depths are measured from the base of <br /> the existing foundation of the house.
