•
Rucker Hill Short Plat
Upstream Analysis
• The site appears to lie near a local high point and it does not appear that a considerable
amount of upstream flows enter the site. Note that minor upstream sheet flows from
adjacent residential lawn and landscape areas to the south and west flow towards the site.
• Downstream Analysis
A downstream analysis was provided by Timothy Sarkela, E.I.T. of Western Engineers &
Surveyors Inc., on July 6,2017. Weather was mostly sunny with a temperature around 70
degrees. Refer to the aerial map in the next section of this report for a depiction of runoff
paths.
•
The site appears to lie at a local high point and runoff appears to leave the site in all
directions. Runoff exiting the site northerly is intercepted by a curb line along the south
side of 35th Street, which is collected by a catch basin located approximately 80 feet west
of the site. Runoff exiting the site westerly is intercepted by a curb line along the east side
• of a water district access road, which is eventually collected by the same catch basin 80
feet west of the site. Runoff exiting the site southerly turns west and is also intercepted by
the water district access road and eventually enters the same catch basin located 80 feet
west of the site. Therefore, the flows exiting the site northerly, westerly, and southerly are
intercepted by the catch basin located 80 feet west of the site. According to City of
• Everett interactive maps, flows entering the catch basin are then routed east to a catch
basin located at the intersection of 35 Street and Kromer Avenue.
Runoff exiting the site easterly turns north and is intercepted by a curb line along the
south side of 35th Street, eventually flowing to the catch basin immediately north of the
site, the same catch basin located at the intersection of 35th Street and Kromer Avenue.
• Therefore,it appears that all site runoff is eventually routed to that catch basin located at
the intersection of 35th Street and Kromer Avenue. Flow within the catch basin is then
routed approximately 40 feet north to enter the combined stormwater sewer system
within Kromer Avenue. The combined system continues approximately 1,000 feet north
to 33rd Street where it is then routed approximately 250 feet west to Tulalip Avenue. The
• combined system is then routed approximately 1,700 feet northwesterly to drain into Lift
Station 2 located on the Port Property west of Bond Street. From there, combines
sewer/storm flows are pumped to the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant for treatment
prior to discharging into the Snohomish River/Puget Sound outfall#7 which is a
combined sewer outfall.
• .
Drainage Complaints
There are no known drainage complaints for this site.
•
• WESTERN ENGINEERS,INC. 4 PROJECT:16-1584-A
