CODE ENFORCEMENT UNIT <br /> 4-(76 <br /> E V E R E T T 10/26/20 Case Number: CE20-0475 <br /> WASHINGTON Darryl& Belina Gonzales <br /> 2206 7th St <br /> EVERETT,WA 98201-1121 <br /> NOTICE TO COMPLY <br /> Violation Address: 2206 7th St, EVERETT,WA 98201-1121 <br /> Greetings, <br /> Our office has received a complaint regarding construction alterations without <br /> permits that is present upon your property. An inspection of your property <br /> located at 2206 7th St,was made on July 8th,2020. The inspection revealed <br /> unpermitted work has been performed to the carport attached to the <br /> residential structure.The alteration includes a conversion of attached carport <br /> into an enclosed garage.This inspection confirmed the following violations of <br /> the International Residential Code (IRC),and the International Property <br /> Maintenance Code (IPMC): <br /> The alteration to the carport without required permits and approvals is a <br /> violation of IRC R105.1,which reads: <br /> IRC R105.1 Required. <br /> Any owner or owner's authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, <br /> repair, move, demolish or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to <br /> erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, <br /> gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by <br /> this code, or to cause any such work to be performed,shall first make <br /> application to the building official and obtain the required permit. <br /> The unpermitted alterations render the structure Unlawful as defined by IPMC <br /> 108.1.4, and in violation of IPMC 106.1,which read: <br /> 4 w IPMC 108.1.4 Unlawful structure. <br /> 14-1 At <br /> An unlawful structure is one found in whole or in part to be occupied by more <br /> persons than permitted under this code, or was erected, altered or occupied <br /> contrary to law. <br /> IPMC 106.1 Unlawful acts. <br /> QEver Wetmore AvIt shall be unlawful for a person,firm or corporation to be in conflict with or in <br /> Everett,WA 98201 201 <br /> violation of any of the provisions of this code. <br /> 0 425.257.8560 <br /> 425.257.8569 fax The City would like to solicit your cooperation with the correction of this matter <br /> codeenforcement@everettwa.gov by completing the following: <br /> www.everettwa.gov <br />
