February 9, 2022 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., <br /> February 9, 2022, by Council Member Tuohy. <br /> Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Fosse, <br /> Rhyne, Schwab, Zarlingo, and Tuohy were present. President Stonecipher and <br /> Council Member Vogeli was excused. <br /> Council Member Schwab led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> On behalf of the City Council, Council Member Rhyne acknowledged the original <br /> inhabitants of this place, the sduhubs people and their successors, the Tulalip <br /> Tribes. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> The minutes of the February 2, 2022, were approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin recognized Finance staff for their work on the 2020 state audit. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Fosse discussed the letter from the League of Women Voters of <br /> Washington, recommending adoption of the proposed policy on the Urban Tree <br /> Canopy into the 2024 Snohomish County Growth Management Act (GMA) <br /> Comprehensive Plan update. <br /> Moved by Council Member Fosse, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to <br /> approve the adoption of the proposed new policy on Urban Tree Canopy into <br /> the General Policy Plan (GPP) for the 2024 update to the Snohomish County <br /> Growth Management Act Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Discussion followed among council members Fosse, Rhyne, Schwab, Zarlingo, <br /> Tuohy and Mayor Franklin. <br /> 1 <br />
