Fund: Fund 342, Program 029 (CIP-1) Fiscal summary statement: The source of funds for this project is OP-1. On May 19, 2021, Council approved $930,000for the alterations at Fire Station No.2 and Fire Station No.5. Approximately $406,034 remains in the authorization. An additional $95,000 is required to complete Phase 2 to Fire Station No.2. The total amending funding Ordinance amount is $1,025,000. The requested amount is based on pricing received through the Job Order Contracting Process and includes sales tax, fees, and a construction contingency. The additional funding is required due to supply chain issues which required construction materials to be acquired and warehoused to ensure minimal disruption to Fire Station No.2 once construction begins. The supply chain issue has led to an extension of time which has Increased the cost of the project due to inflation. The scope of work has not changed from the previous funding Ordinance amendment. Project summary statement: The alterations at Fire Station No.6 and Phase 1 at Fire Station No.2 accomplished the goal of creating gender neutral improvements. Phase 2 at Fire Station No.2 will complete the required building renovations and correct building deficiencies Identified in the Facilities Condition Assessment. The scope of work will include replacing the HVAC system, adding bay heaters, installing new kitchen cabinets, replacement of kitchen appliances, replacement of all older bathroom fixtures, jetting the old drain lines, installation of emergency exit lighting and signs, modifications to the Locution system, and additional storage throughout the station. The anticipated completion of construction is Q3 of 2022.
