EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The purpose of this contract is to provide artist services to design and produce artwork for two interpretive sign <br />panels for Madison Morgan Park. <br />PRELIMINARY ARTWORK DESIGN <br />1. Larry Eifert shall design, paint the artwork, and write text for two interpretive wayside panels, finished <br />sizes will be 48" wide by 24" tall. The art panels will be to interpret and educate visitors about the <br />wildlife and native plants found at the park. <br />2. Artwork concept will showcase the natural elements of a city park made into an alternative natural park. <br />One panel will focus on the re-establishment of native plant species at the park, and the other panel will <br />focus on the re -inhabitation of native animal species at the park. The concept is to show the evolution of <br />the site from low-grade urban second growth forest maturing to be part of the native lowland Puget Sound <br />forest ecosystem. <br />3. Sign panels will also be `nature guides' with species names and narratives located at the bottoms of the <br />panels. Plant species will be shown on the bottom of one panel and animal species will be shown on the <br />other. <br />4. The art concepts described above will be made collaboratively with the City of Everett Project Manager <br />and Larry Eifert. Pencil drafts will be made first for approval by the City prior to painting final artwork. <br />5. The City of Everett Communications Depaitiuent will provide city standard fonts, logos & QR image to <br />Larry Eifert. <br />6. City Project Manager will provide species lists, approval of concept drawings, final art, and approval of <br />text and overall design. <br />COORDINATION WITH SIGN MAKERS <br />1. Larry Eifert shall assist the fabrication process by suppling digital artwork and coordinating with the sign <br />panel manufacturer. <br />2. Final digital high -quality files will be sent electronically to the City and sign fabricators. <br />INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS <br />1. Notwithstanding item 2 in the Agreement, the City will not use the intellectual property rights obtained <br />under this Agreement for commercial benefit and will not assign them to any third party. <br />TOTAL MAXIMUM COMPENSATION <br />Artwork for Two Panels $6,700.00 <br />Design Fee for Two Panels $1,000.00 <br />Writing and Research for Two Panels $1,000.00 <br />Subtotal for Artist Services <br />Subtotal for Reimbursable Expenses <br />$8,700.00 <br />$ 500.00 <br />DESIGN CONTINGENCY FEE (IF REQUIRED): <br />Additional Services that may be needed based upon any issues that surface during the design and construction of <br />the project as approved ONLY In Writing by the authorized City representative. <br />TOTAL CONTINGENCY FEE $1,000.00 <br />TOTAL FEE $10,200.00 <br />
