The panels are approved for use in accordance with Section 2603 of the 2020 Los Angeles <br />City Building Code and shall comply with all requirements therein. <br />1 The panels shall be manufactured in a shop of a licensed fabricator approved by the City <br />of Los Angeles. Fabrication in unlicensed shops will invalidate the approval. <br />3. The panel core material shall have a density of 2.1 pef. <br />4. The panels shall be used only in areas where combustible materials are permitted by code. <br />S. Daily tests of the physical properties of the core material shall be performed and records <br />of such tests shall be maintained and provided to the department upon request. <br />6. Complete design calculations shall be submitted to the Structural Plan Check for each job. <br />Plans and calculations shall bear the stamp and signature of a California registered civil or <br />structural engineer or architect. <br />7. No permanent loads, equipment in storage loads shall be carried by the ceiling/roof panels <br />unless additional design calculations and details are submitted. <br />8. An approved fire retardant covering shall be placed over the panels when used as an <br />exterior roof panel. <br />9. The panels contain urethane insulation; which when tested separately, has flame spread <br />and smoke density ratings less than 25 and 450, respectively. <br />10. Panels shall be provided with a permanent label specifying the fabricator and surface <br />burning characteristics of the product. <br />11. The urethane plastic utilized in the panels has a minimum flash -ignition temperature of <br />716T and a minimum self -ignition temperature of 932°F. <br />12. The attachment of the screeds to the floor assembly shall be by an approved method. <br />13. Locations of connectors must be. detailed on approved plans. <br />14. Allowable loads for shear walls and diaphragms are not applicable to buildings. <br />15. No increase in allowable stresses is allowed for the values indicated above for short <br />duration of loads due to mind or seismic farces. <br />RR 24543 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />
