Of course the electrical and other safety issues will be fixed during the remodel, we just need to get approval on an overall scope so we can plan accordingly. In the report I saw from Ted, it was reported that the basement ceiling is 68", which it may be in the bedroom, but I measured several locations ranging from 610"-7' downstairs between the floor & ceiling framing. Working out concerns the planning department has, my goal is to get approval for 2 bedrooms & a bathroom downstairs even though we'll be an inch or two shy of the required 7'. The rest of the proposed remodel would address all the safety violations the department found in additions to ones I found inspecting the house Let me know if you have questions or need anything from me.
