0 • <br />RESPONCE TO FIRST REVIEW <br />June 1, 2020 <br />Owner: 3608 Rucker Ave LLC <br />Job Address: 3608 Rucker Ave <br />Plan Check No: B2004-028 <br />RE: Building Permit Review Letter <br />Dear Mr. Mohammad, <br />In response to the application for a building permit, the plans have been examined and you are advised that <br />revisions are necessary before a permit can be issued. Please review and respond to the comments below. <br />4. Dwelling units in two-family dwellings shall be separated from each other by wall and floor <br />assemblies having not less than a 1-hour fire -resistance rating where tested in accordance with <br />ASTM E 119 or UL 263. Fire resistance rated floor/ceiling and shall extend to and be tight against the <br />exterior wall, and wall assemblies shall extend from the foundation to the underside of the roof <br />sheathing. R302.3 IRC. Provide details of the tested assemblies you will use to provide the required <br />1-hour fire -resistance rated assemblies. Revised New Sheet 11 <br />Where floor assemblies are required to be fire -resistance rated by section R302.3, the supporting <br />construction of such assemblies shall have an equal or greater fire -resistance rating. (R302.3.1). <br />Show the fire -resistance rated details for all walls and beams supporting the floor/ceiling assembly <br />(interior and exterior walls).Revised New Sheet 11 <br />Provide all four elevations for the proposed duplex. Revised Sheet 6 <br />Washington State Energy Code Credits "option 1a" requires that the entire slab -on -grade is insulated <br />with minimum R-10 rigid insulation. If it is not your intention to remove the entire slab and place <br />insulation under a new slab -on -grade, you will need to select a different option to meet the energy <br />credits required for compliance with section R406 WSEC. Revised (Credit Options Changed) <br />Please provide building section specific to this structure. Show the ceiling height in the basement <br />and attic areas. Show clearance under all beams. Show insulation in all walls floors and ceiling, <br />including R-10 insulation under the entire slab -on -grade and at headers in furred out walls. Provide <br />New Sheet 11 <br />Provide source specific exhaust fans in all laundry rooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Show on floor <br />plan(s). Revised Sheet 4 & 5 <br />Specify which "Whole House Ventilation System" per section MlS07.3.3 you will be using. Provide <br />the requirements of the whole house ventilation system you will be using, do not simply reference <br />the code section.
