This project will contribute to cleanup of the site by preventing contaminated groundwater from entering the <br /> drainage system in the City of Everett's Riverside area(approximate project area is Riverside Road in Everett, WA)and <br /> gaining direct access to the Snohomish River.In addition,fencing abutting a steep slope will be extended and improved <br /> along West Marine View Drive to prevent unauthorized access to a separate contaminated area. <br /> The following work tasks will be conducted as part of this grant agreement,including: <br /> •Inspection,cleaning and lining of a network of approximately 3,500 linear feet of drainage pipe. <br /> o Lining utilized will be cured-in-place pipe technology. <br /> •Installation of a tide gate on the outfall pipe. <br /> •Replacement,extension or installation of fencing to restrict access to a steep slope with contaminated soils will <br /> conducted to prevent unauthorized access to this portion of the cleanup site. <br /> Overall Goal: <br /> The goal of this work is to reduce contamination from entering the Snohomish River by eliminating a means by which <br /> contaminated groundwater would be transported offsite. This project will also limit human contact with contaminated <br /> soil on the surface of a steep slope. <br /> Template Version 12/10/2020 <br />
