The comments below must be addressed before a permit can be issued. These comments address structural building issues only. Comments for non-structural issues will be issued separately. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments including Public Works, Planning, and Fire. Code citations provided in the following comments reference the 2015 International Building Code (IBC), the 2015 International Existing Building Code (IEBC), the 2015 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC), the 2015 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2015 International Mechanical Code (IMC), and the 2015 International Energy Conservation (IECC), and the Washington State Energy Code (WSEC). The current IBC referenced standard for accessible design is the 2009"Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities"(ICC/ANSI A117.1). Federal ADA, FHA, and HUD regulations and standards, including the Fair Housing Accessibility Guidelines, may be more restrictive. References to other design standards include the current edition. In order for the processing of your application to continue, the following documentation should be submitted to the Building Division for review: a. Itemized letter addressing the comments provided below. b. Two complete sets of revised construction drawings. c. One copy of supplemental structural calculations. d. One copy of the geotechnical report. Submittal documents shall contain sufficient information and detail to review the proposed project for compliance with the adopted codes. Upon submittal of the revised documents, your application will be given priority and plan reviews will recommence. Several comments are presented in italics are duplicated in our review letter for the North Building (B1801-031) dated March 13, 2017. These comments apply to both projects.
